The former chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Ekiti State, Mr. Omolafe Aderiye has been shot dead.Residents told SaharaReporters late evening that Aderiye was killed by unknown gunmen at Ijigbo area in Ado Ekiti.
Mr. Aderiye was on his way home when the gunmen numbering about four accosted and shot him at close range.Mr. Aderiye, a staunch supporter of Governor-elect, Ayodele Fayose was part of Mr. Fayose’s team that attacked a state high court judge earlier in the day.
The alleged thugs attacked Justice John Adeyeye, beating him up and ripping his clothes for beingallegedly rude to Fayose. Fayose, first slapped the judge and then ordered his thugs to beat him further
