The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared former president of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Daniel Onjeh, as the party’s sole candidate for the 2015 Benue South senatorial election.
Onjeh has since completed and submitted the relevant forms to meet up with the December 18th, 2014, INEC deadline for the submission of National Assembly Candidates’ list by political parties.
He will run against Senate President David Mark who is seeking a record fifth term in the Senate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“It’s in the interest of justice, equity, fairness and peace that power rotates amongst brothers. More so, it’s high time we tried something new after 16 years of political routine and constant results,” Onjeh said.
“I shall officially unveil my manifesto for the Benue South people in the next few days,” he added.
