British singer/rapper Labrinth is nursing more than a bruised ego at a gig in Kent, England after a stage dive into the audience went disastrously wrong.
The hip-hop star was performing his song Earthquake at the University of Kent's Summer Ball on Saturday (01Jun13) when he decided to leap into the crowd, only for the audience to part.
Labrinth crashed onto the floor and knocked down a few front-row fans before security helped him to his feet and led him back onstage.
Labrinth, real name Timothy McKenzie, brushed off his suit and continued his performance. No injuries were reported.
Student Nasser Naoum, who filmed the mishap, says, "He kept asking everyone to put their hands up in the air, but none of us knew it was actually because he expected us to catch him - we just thought it was for dancing purposes."
